FSU Basketball Game Watching Party on 2/23

Come join your fellow Noles cheer on the FSU Basketball team against Duke! The TBSC will be hosting a game watching partiy at the South Tampa Beef O’Brady’s (MacDill Ave.) on Thursday, February 23rd! Tip off is at 7pm.

Beef’s will have drink and food specials for all TBSC Members so don’t forget your membership cards. Go Noles!

The TBSC Presents: Taste of Garnet & Gold!

Join us this Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm afternoon for a potable pep rally for FSU fans & alumni to come together and support the Tampa Bay Seminole Club. We are raising money for Local FSU Scholarships and invite you to taste four Garnet colored reds and two Gold white wines for a good cause. Reservations for this collegiate collective are appreciated (space is limited) and can be made by calling (813) 879-2931 or emailing info@vintagewinecellars.net. $25.00 per person. Vintage Wine Cellars is located at 3629 Henderson Blvd., Tampa, FL 33609. Wines will include:

Spring Pub Crawl on 3/3!

Our Spring Pub Crawl date has been set! The Tampa Bay Seminole Club will turn South Howard Avenue Garnet and Gold on Saturday, March 3rd starting at 4pm. TBSC Members will get access to drink specials at participating locations. The cost is only $5 for TBSC members and $10 for non-members.

Stops include The Lodge, Cheap, World of Beer and Mangroves.

FSU Baseballl Comes to Clearwater on 2/29.

Your FSU Seminoles are coming to Clearwater on Wednesday, February 29th! Join the TBSC as we watch the ‘Noles take on the Philedelphia Phillies at Bright House Field. The game starts at 1pm. TBSC Scholarship Application Available

The Tampa Bay Seminole Club is proud to offer 4 $500 scholarships to local seminoles who will be attending Florida State University in the fall of 2012. In order to be eligible, applicants must:

Be a US citizen.
Be a 2012 Hillsborough County high school graduate or be related to a member of the Tampa Bay Seminole Club (Grandchild, child, cousin, niece/nephew etc).
Be accepted to FSU and be enrolled as a full time student at FSU for the up-coming fall semester.
Provide a complete application and the required attachments.

Seminole Service Day on 3/24

Mark your calendars for March 24, 2012: the first annual Seminole Service Day! Seminole Clubs around the country will wear their FSU colors and uphold the garnet and gold by pitching in on local service projects in their communities. We are asking that you give of your time, not of your treasure – break a sweat, get your fingernails dirty, and represent FSU to the fullest!

Seminole Service Day is a great way to represent Florida State University in your area, and to get new Seminoles involved with your clubs. Stay tuned for more details on how you can participate with the TBSC.

February TBSC Board Meeting Set

The Tampa Bay Seminole Club will hold its regularly scheduled board meeting on Wednesday February 15, 2012 starting at 6 PM at the Tampa Club in Downtown Tampa. The meeting is open to all members, potential members — especially those looking to get more involved in the club!

Signing Day Event on February 1!

The Seminole Boosters, in conjunction with the TBSC, will be hosting a Tampa event for National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 1st. The event is free to all Seminole fans and offers an opportunity to watch Jimbo Fisher discuss the newest additions to the Seminole Football program via live internet streaming from Tallahassee.

The Tampa event will be held at The Lodge on 516 S. Howard Avenue in South Tampa. The Lodge will extend its happy hour from 3:00pm -8:00pm. A Seminole only recruiting hour will run from 5-6 pm. Hoste include JP Peterson and Seminole legends PT Willis, Barry Smith, Drew Weatherford and more. Coach Fisher’s program will follow.

30 under 30 Nominations Open

You can nominate yourself or a Fellow Nole for the FSU Alumni Association’s “30 Under Thirty” honoring young alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions, communities or Florida State University.

For the first time this spring, the Alumni Association will recognize 30 exceptional Florida State alumni under the age of 30. In addition, up to six honorees may be chosen to also receive the Reuben O’D. Askew Young Alumni Award. The Askew Award, which will also be presented for the first time this year, is the highest honor bestowed upon young alumni by the FSU Alumni Association. Nominations must be sumbitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012. You can find more information by clicking here.

The TBSC supports the Great Give!

The TBSC thanks its members for supporting The Great Give, a 36-hour online giving event benefiting all of Florida State University. Because of your support Florida State University celebrated its birthday by exceeding its $161,000 goal and raised more than $193,000. The money will support academics, athletics and other programs of FSU.
