Jason Watson

Jason is a three-time graduate of the Florida State University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication (’02) and a Master’s degree in Public Administration (’06) from the FSU’s Askew School of Public Administration and Policy. Jason is also an honors graduate of the Florida State University College of Law (’06).

After graduation, Jason was named a shareholder with the law firm of Steele, Watson & Benner, P.A., in Tampa, Florida focusing his practice on complex business litigation.  Jason has significant experience in construction and surety law, misappropriation of trade secret claims and restrictive covenant litigation, including non-competition agreements, confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure agreements.  Jason currently concentrates his law practice in those areas in addition to the defense of long term care facilities in litigation throughout Florida.

Jason is married to a fellow FSU Law graduate who shares his love of travel and tolerates his passion for Seminole Football.  In 2011, he was appointed Vice President of Communication for the Tampa Bay Seminole Club and has previously served on a standing committee for the Florida Bar.  He is also the former chairman and a current member of the Citizen Advisory Committe for the Downtown  Tampa Community Redevelopment Area.  The CAC directs the expenditure of tax increment financing funds for the continued improvement of Tampa’s downtwon.
