Altony (Tony) Lee

Altony (Tony) Lee III, obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida State University (’02). As a FSU Student, Tony was very active in Student Government as Director of Minority Affairs and chairing the 2001 Homecoming Celebration. Post-graduation, Tony remained involved with FSU by giving back to the Senior Class Gift Campaign, chairing the Seminole Torchbearers Board of Directors, Lifetime member of the FSU National Alumni Association, Seminole Boosters and joining the President’s Club to support FSU Academic and Student Life through the FSU Foundation.

 Tony’s work experience includes both nonprofit and higher educational fundraising. Before arriving in Tampa, FL and the Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo as Senior Development Officer, he served as Director of Annual Giving at Florida Atlantic University raising $1.7 – 2.2 million dollars annually and coordinator in the FSU Foundation, Inc. and Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs at Florida State University. Tony is also an independent consultant of The Protocol Centre of Coral Gables, Miami.

 Community Involvement include; serving as an Honorary Commander at MacDill Air Force Base, finalist for Young Professional of The Year for the Business Buddies Tampa – Best in Business Awards. He was selected as a 2009 Up & Comer by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Past leadership includes; Emerge Tampa, Connect Florida- Development Chair and Former Affiliated Student Advancement Programs (ASAP) Chair and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III Board member.

 Tony is married to LaToya Lee and lives in a house divided between the Seminole and FAU Fighting Owls. Their hobbies include: spending time with family, watching college/NFL football and traveling. In 2011, he serves as President of the Tampa Bay Seminole Club.
